The Asian Ladies Club of Switzerland (ALC) aspires to create goodwill as well as promote a better awareness and understanding of other cultures - we learn about each other’s culture and at the same time, promote our very own. It is a non-profit social organization with no political or religious involvement. We have also extended our mission with Fundraising for a chosen charity to help those who are less fortunate.
Being a voluntary organisation, ALC depends entirely on the work of its members to keep it running smoothly. We organise many interesting social, cultural and other activities for our members and since food is a very integral part of Asian culture and history and lifestyle and cooking being one of the oldest of human activities, one of our activities is how to prepare delicious Asian meals. Somebody said that to understand one’s culture, you start with food, because food is less controversial. Everybody has to eat.
We would like to take this opportunity to greet our club members and potential members, ladies who originated from Asian countries as well as non-Asian ladies who have an affinity to Asia, and who are now living in Switzerland.
