I'd Like to help the Club - Whom Do I Contact?
Would you like to help the Club? Do you have some special skill to offer? Are you good at putting letters in envelopes, typing or answering the telephone?
The ALC is a voluntary organisation and depends entirely on the work of its members. There are all sorts of tasks that need to be done, some on a regular basis, some just occasionally.
How would you like to:
- help with the News Magazine, even on an irregular basis for specific tasks
- build up a new interest group or serve as a coordinator of a group
- give a demonstration on or speak about a specific topic
- give us your ideas on how to improve the activities of the Club, suggestions but also criticisms, or
- help in any other way
We would be very pleased to hear from you, especially from new members.
E-mail us at : secretary(aet)alc-swiss.ch
To be actively involved in ALC is a great opportunity to meet other members and to make the Club more interesting for us all!

Cancellation Policy
The cancellation policy applies to all events that involve monetary payment. A member who cancels her participation in an event after the cancellation deadline, or those who reserve and fail to attend the event is required to reimburse the organizers of the event for unavoidable costs incurred on her behalf. Even when the cancellation policy does not apply, members are kindly asked to cancel as soon as possible if they are not able to attend an event. Such courtesy will allow other members and guests on the waiting list to participate.

Guest Policy
It is the responsibility of the ALC member to inform the event’s organizer when bringing a guest. The ALC member is responsible for paying the non-member guest fee. Therefore, where payment is involved, Guests or *prospective members* attending an event should be informed by their hostesses.

Reservation & Payment Policy
For all activities & events, please reserve or cancel no later than the stated deadline date to allow for proper planning. For events requiring a fee payable at the door, those who make a reservation and cancel late or “No Shows” will be obliged to pay the fee.
Reservations are taken in the order received. In the event of overbooking, you will be contacted by the event organiser.
Reservation for ALC activities & events that require advance payment should be received with proof of payment (Einzahlungschein) by the specified date. Booking fees are not refundable after the specified date. Therefore, if you or a member of your party cannot attend, please send a substitute or contact the event organiser to check for possible names on a waiting list.
Please note: Members participating in Club events and activities do so at their own risk. The Club assumes no responsibility for personal injury.
